Purpose:
Neconazole is an imidazole broad-spectrum antifungal agent that exerts its effect by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol in fungi and altering the composition of other lipid compounds in the cell membrane. It has antagonistic effects on Candida, Cryptococcus neoformans, Histoplasma capsulatum, Blastomyces dermatitidis, and Coccidioides immitis, among others.
Compared with the traditional product ketoconazole, neconazole has better water solubility and is applicable to the personal care products field, such as dandruff shampoo, bactericidal agents, and skin sebum regulators. It can also be used for the treatment of cutaneous candidiasis, tinea pedis, tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and tinea versicolor. The market prospects are very broad. |
